New Community Garden

A team of volunteers led by Kathie Siebert and Joy Mihuta planted the Senior Center's first community garden on May 22nd.  The garden will be tended to by a team of volunteers and be completely organic.  The items in the garden will be made available to members at the center through a donation basis.  Any donations received will go back into the garden to fund new plants and supplies.  So far, the team has spent many hours planning, tilling and planting.  This is an exciting new venture at the center and we are all looking forward to seeing the harvest.  If you are interested in joining the team of volunteers please contact Allison at the center.  We already have a great mix of veggies planted including: tomatoes, peppers, beans, cucumbers, zucchini, basil, parsley, lettuce and rosemary.
