There is little doubt that rapid administration of CPR can save the lives of many heart attack victims. The Green Township Fire Department offers CPR training for citizens and businesses in the Township. We recommend that EVERYONE learn CPR. Also, CPR methods change occasionally, as more is learned about how it works best. For those who have taken a CPR course in the past, we urge refresher training every couple of years. Numerous documented cases of "CPR Saves" have occurred in Green Township. Because bystanders knew what to do, and were not afraid to get involved, several heart attack victims received a second chance at life.
CPR is not just for heart attack victims. Drowning, electrical shock, drug overdose, lightning, trauma, and more can cause cardiac arrest. It's not just for the elderly. Infants can choke, or have a seizure causing cardiac arrest. Children and young adults can have accidents causing it. Can YOU give the gift of life? For these victims, early bystander CPR may be the only chance to survive. Do you know what to do?
The Green Township Fire Department teaches CPR curriculum specified by the American Heart Association. Participants in CPR training must be at least 13 years old.
For more information on CPR training please contact CPR@greentwp.org, or call 574-4111.
It's all part of a system that begins with YOU!
