We have updated this information through 2017.
This department is one of the busiest suburban fire departments in Hamilton County. The table below illustrates just how busy we are. These figures reflect an increase in emergency responses of about 77% in the last 20 years and about a 19% increase in the last 5 years. With continued growth and development, we suspect this general upward trend will continue.
Green Township Fire & EMS recorded a significant increase in emergency runs for 2017. Since 2016 was the previous record year, this again sets a new record.
In 2016, the department responded to 7611 emergency runs (fire and EMS). In 2017, there were 7882 runs, an increase of 271 runs, or about 3.6%. Emergency medical calls again represented the majority of responses with 6294, while there were 1588 fire runs. In the 28 years for which these statistics are available, only three years have seen a decrease. Green Township Fire & EMS is committed to handling all emergency runs quickly and efficiently. Operations and manpower are occasionally modified as necessary to respond to the ever increasing calls for service.
