Bicentennial Veterans Tribute Bell

The Veterans Tribute Bell was created on the grounds of the Green Township Administration Complex.  Hundreds of Veterans and students participated in the ingot brigade and the pouring of the Veterans Tribute Bell.  The Verdin Bell Company supervised every aspect of the casting of the Veterans Tribute Bell.

On Saturday, October 17, 2009 dozens of dignitaries and Veterans broke the mold around the bell and the craftsman from the Verdin Bell Company polished the gleaming bronze bell.  The tribute bell was on display in the atrium of the Green Township Administration Building for two weeks.

On Veterans Day, November 11, 2009 the six oldest Veterans in Green Township dedicated the Veterans Tribute Tower and bell by ringing the bell to the applause of hundreds of Green Township residents.  The Green Township Trustees sponsored the event in cooperation with VFW Post #10380.  Dozens of dignitaries were present to dedicate the Veterans Tribute Tower and bell.
