Beginning April 4, 2022, Greater Cincinnati Water Works will return to the pre-pandemic practice of water/utility shut offs for delinquent accounts and late fees for past-due balances. This could potentially affect over 500 residents in Green Township facing interruption of service, with about 50 residents in the initial phase. Help is available to assist customers with outstanding balances as utility shutoffs and late fees return on April 4, 2022.

Recently, you may have seen a segment on WCPO regarding a Duke energy customer from Green Township receiving an excessively high energy bill. This individual was in a third party retail energy program not related to the township aggregation program which had a very high renewal rate that was passed on to the residents. As a township we have chosen to participate in both a natural gas and electric aggregation programs as a choice for our residents. We have negotiated an electric rate that is lower than the Duke Energy price to compare and a natural gas rate that offers stability and security in volatile gas markets. For more information on our prices please visit the web page of our energy consultant Energy Alliances Inc., and click on our community. https://energyalliances.com/communities.
If you have any questions about the program, please call 513-794-5555.

Scammers thrive on changes in the environment and look for opportunities to take advantage of times of uncertainty,
like during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the first 10 months of 2020, about 25,000 Duke Energy customers reported
scam attempts. You can help protect yourself by being vigilant, staying informed and guarding your personal information.
