Energy Bill

Posted on: October 26th, 2021 by jbarlow

Recently, you may have seen a segment on WCPO regarding a Duke energy customer from Green Township receiving an excessively high energy bill.  This individual was in a third party retail energy program not related to the township aggregation program which had a very high renewal rate that was passed on to the residents. As a township  we have chosen to participate in both a natural gas and electric aggregation programs as a choice for our residents. We have negotiated an electric rate that is lower than the Duke Energy price to compare and a natural gas rate that offers stability and security in volatile gas markets. For more information on our prices please visit the web page of our energy consultant Energy Alliances Inc., and click on our community. https://energyalliances.com/communities.

If you have any questions about the program, please call 513-794-5555.

Beware of Scammers

Posted on: December 17th, 2020 by jbarlow

Scammers thrive on changes in the environment and look for opportunities to take advantage of times of uncertainty,

like during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the first 10 months of 2020, about 25,000 Duke Energy customers reported

scam attempts. You can help protect yourself by being vigilant, staying informed and guarding your personal information.

On November 14, 2016 – Green Township expanded online video services, adding video-on-demand playback of trustees’ meetings to live video streaming of meetings announced in October.  Meetings will be streamed live at http://tv.greentwp.org. There is a link on that page to the video-on-demand service.  Live streaming and on-demand playback have been long requested items for residents who cannot receive Spectrum Cable’s public access channel and were made possible by a recent video system update.

Green Township Do Not Knock List

Posted on: September 18th, 2018 by mhill

The Green Township Trustees have passed a new resolution to regulate transient vendors.  It is illegal to engage in door-to-door solicitation without first obtaining a permit from Green Township.

As part of the resolution, Green Township residents can register their address on a “Do Not Knock” list.  Once a vendor has completed all requirements for obtaining a permit, they will be provided a current list of addresses registered on the Do Not Knock list.  The vendor is not permitted to contact any households on the list. Violations will be enforced by the Green Township Police Department.

It is important to note that these regulations do not apply to tax exempt groups, such as charitable or religious organizations.  Non-commercial activity, such as political or religious canvassing, does not require a permit.

Please click here to register for the Green Township Do Not Knock list.  A registration is valid for 5 years.

If you encounter a solicitor whom you believe is in violation of these regulations, please call police dispatch at 513 825-2280.

If you have already created an account and need to update you information, please click here.
