Green Township Recycled 2,128 Tons in 2018

Congratulations, Green Township residents! In 2018, we recycled 2,127.94 tons of metal, glass, plastic, and paper. Residents saved resources, conserved energy, and reduced pollution by not sending these items to the landfill.

The recycling efforts in Green Township:

• Conserved enough energy to power every home in Green Township for 6 days.

• Reduced more air pollution than if every household in Green Township rode their bicycle to work for 4 weeks.

• Saved 18,146 trees from being harvested.

On average, each household in Green Township recycled 200 pounds in 2018. That’s 10.52% of all the waste we generate.
