Adam B. Goetzman was appointed to the position of Zoning/Development Director for Green Township in 1997 where, since 1992, he had held the position of Public Works Director. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Urban Planning, Mr. Goetzman has been involved with several local and regional planning efforts during his tenure at Green Township. He serves on the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) Intermodal Coordinating Committee, OKI Environmental Justice Committee and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Community Advisory Council, Elected and Appointed Officials Group.


 Adam also serves as the Administrator for the Northeast Green Township Zoning District (NEGT), located in the White Oak portion of Green Township. His department is responsible for day to day operations of the Zoning Department including code enforcement and compliance. In a typical year the Township will issue approximately 150 Zoning Permits and hear 3 to 5 appeals cases. Other core duties include:


Hamilton County Zoning Review – General and detailed review of all development proposals (from pre-development meetings through public hearing process) including plan review and reports for all zone changes and Hamilton County Board of Zoning Appeals cases occurring in Green Township.


Strategic Capital Planning –  The Development Director is responsible for coordinating long range and capital improvement planning and budget prioritization though Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and Joint Economic Development (JEDD) Agreement implementation.


Mr. Goetzman is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Cincinnati and local and regional planning conferences and workshops. Prior to his positions with Green Township, Adam held land development and site acquisition positions with regional residential and commercial development companies in both South Florida and the Washington D.C. area.


He is married and the father of three daughters, currently residing in Monfort Heights.
