On Saturday, October 10, 2009 the Green Township Trustees welcomed the Veterans Tribute Tower escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders to Veterans Park. Hundreds of people gathered to see a large crane hoist the Veterans Tribute Tower into place and smoothly lock it down. The Verdin Bell Company constructed the Veterans Tribute Tower and worked closely with Green Township staff to complete the pad of cement upon which the tower was bolted.
The Veterans Tribute Tower bell chimes on the hour and plays patriotic tunes two times per day.
